A harmonious interplay of water, fire, earth and air has always been the basis of life and survival in this world. The four elements inspire artists and thinkers to explore and depict their beauty and horror. The exhibits tell of the disharmony of the elements and their irrepressible forces, of warlike power, of natural phenomena such as thunderstorms, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, conflagrations and floods, but also of magic and miracles, their beauty and magic. Today, catastrophic events warn forcefully of the irreparable consequences of nature out of balance. Since the changing climate results from the disharmony of the elements, contemporary works of "Climate Change Art" and "Climate Change Design" can also be admired in the exhibition. The focus is on current environmental issues, innovative materials as well as novel processes.
